Two weeks of regular season action remain before postseason

The busiest regular season month of the season is in full swing as the season nears its conclusion. With all 12 sides still alive for the postseason, each will hope to take advantage of their two remaining matches.

FOR CLUB AND COUNTRY

Five League One talents represented their respective country over the past week either in Concacaf Nations League or Africa Cup of Nations qualification, and three of those five found the back of the net while on international duty.

  • Real Gill (NCO) - Trinidaad and Tobago
    • The 21-year-old suited up in Trinidad and Tobago’s 3-1 Concacaf Nations League victory against Cuba on Monday alongside club teammate Noah Powder. In the second of two meetings against the Soca Warriors’ League A, Group B opponent, Gill registered one goal, two completed dribbles, two duels won and one chance created through 39 minutes of play.
  • Shavon John-Brown (CV) - Grenada
    • John-Brown earned his 39th cap with Grenada in a 1-0 Concacaf Nations League loss against Curaçao in a League B, Group B clash on Monday. The 29-year-old totaled seven duels won, seven recoveries, two completed dribbles and two fouls won in 90 minutes for the Spice Boys.
  • Zeiko Lewis (OMA) - Bermuda
    • Lewis made the 39th and 40th appearances of his international career with Bermuda earlier this week, helping the Gombey Warriors to a pair of victories against Dominica in Concacaf Nations League play. Against Bermuda’s League B, Group D foe, Lewis registered one goal, 10 recoveries, five chances created, three duels won and two shots on target across 146 minutes of action.
  • Innocent Nshuti (KNX) - Rwanda
    • In Africa Cup of Nations qualification play, Innocent participated in both of Rwanda’s fixtures against Group D opponent, Benin, which resulted in a loss and a win. Across 135 minutes of play for the Wasps, the 26-year-old registered one goal, seven duels won, three fouls earned and an 80% passing accuracy rate.
  • Noah Powder (NCO) - Trinidad and Tobago
    • Powder helped Trinidad and Tobago to a draw and a win against Cuba in Concacaf Nations League play. In 161 minutes across a pair of matches against the Soca Warriors’ League A, Group B opponent, Powder totaled 11 completed long passes, 11 recoveries, eight duels won, five tackles won, three chances created, and completed 84% of his passes.

Named USL League One Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, Greenville's Lyam MacKinnon has extended the all-time record for most Player of the Week recognitions to seven. The second-year Swiss professional has now established himself as Greenville's all-time leading scorer and the Golden Boot leader. Among all players named Player of the Week on three or more occasions, MacKinnon is the only player not to be named to the USL League One All-League First or Second Team, though that will surely change by the end of this season.

Discipline Report – Week 24

The following is USL League One's discipline report for Week 24 of the 2024 regular season.

Forward Madison FC's Christian Chaney has been suspended for one match due to caution accumulation following his yellow card against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Oct. 12 in regular season play. Chaney will be unavailable for selection in Madison's regular season contest against One Knoxville SC on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Lexington SC's CC Uche has been suspended for one match following his red card for two cautionable offenses against Union Omaha on Oct. 12 in regular season play. Uche will be unavailable for selection in Lexington's regular season contest against the Charlotte Independence on Saturday, Oct. 19.
